I'm totally stealing my friend Kenna's idea. She titled her blog post, Five Things I'll Need to Survive the Summer. Ya'll...I am going to thrive this summer, because I SURVIVED my first Michigan winter (barely!). Here are five things I will be using daily as I soak up another fabulous Michigan summer. (I think they make the winters worth it. Maybe???) I cannot wait for daylight until 10:30 p.m., reading on my front porch and outdoor adventures. Books Duh!!!! I have a rather large TBR Continue Reading
Five Books I Can’t Wait to Read This Summer
I've been pre-ordering a lot of books lately. There have been so many good releases this month (which I will review in a few weeks), but for now I wanted to share a few books that I can't wait to read this summer. These are the books I'll throw in my pool bag and take with me on road trips. Same Time Next Summer by Annabel Monaghan I ADORED Monaghan's first novel, Nora Goes Off Script. I cannot wait to read this one! It releases June 6th. The Five-Star Weekend by Elin Hilderbrand It's Continue Reading
Jennifer Reads {April 2023}
Something that's brought me a lot of joy this month is getting lost in a good book series with Jackson. We read books 1-7 of The Last Firehawk Series this month. It’s the first series he begs me to keep reading. He says the books deserve 100 stars. He and I are having great conversations as we read. He’s able to answer the discussion questions at the end of each book, and has shown improvement in his comprehension skills! Seven books finished, five to go (because I just discovered book 12 Continue Reading
Jennifer Reads {March 2023}
This was a good reading month, but what made it even better was seeing my bestie and talking about books at the beach!!!! Emily and I are book nerds and we're proud of it! We spent a week together in Florida, comparing our book journals and filling them out. I took her to the independent bookstore in Seaside and we hit up a Barnes and Noble. I didn't know how much I needed the sunshine, friend time and book talk! I left Florida filled up (but I'm ready to go back anytime!) Here's what I Continue Reading
March Favorites {2023}
March included a week in my Happy Place, so that is definitely my top favorite thing from this month. 30A has my heart! Someday, maybe I can stay forever. Until then, I will visit as often as I can! Before we went to Florida, we spent a week in Texas visiting my family, which leads me to my second favorite thing this month. All the Texas Food I ate so much of the stuff I cannot get in Michigan! Legit Tex-Mex, cream gravy, chicken fried steak, DQ ice cream. I hit all my favorite places: Continue Reading
