February flew by; but good golly there were way too many gloomy, cold days. I am so ready for warm weather and sunshine! I'm not sure I've ever been this ready for Spring. Actually, I'm really just ready to get my toes in the sand and sit my booty on a beach. This month I feel like I learned a lot - about homeschooling and motherhood. I was also reminded that life is just down-right hard sometimes. Here's a few lessons I'm taking with me as I leave February behind... The Word Stupid Can Continue Reading

My First Strewing Experience
I had never heard of strewing until I started reading The Brave Learner by Julie Bogart. (The book is incredible, by the way! I plan to do an entire post devoted to it really soon.) Strewing is a thing in the homeschool world, but I tried it for the first time yesterday. The idea is to leave an activity, any kind really, out on the table for your child to discover on their own. Parents should sit back and allow the child to check it out. They are free to explore and discover to their Continue Reading
