Instead of writing a monthly What I Learned post, I've decided to write one every three months. It just seems more doable during this season of my life. The first three months of 2018 have taught me about being brave and being true to myself! Here's what I learned between January and March... All I Need Is My Camera The photo shoots I enjoy most are the ones where I'm out and about with my camera capturing memories for families. I don't need all the crazy setups. Honestly, that part Continue Reading
My Top Three Posts of 2017
Well here they are - the words I wrote that were read the most this year - and they all happen to be about being a special needs mama! Writing about our special needs journey keeps me sane. It helps me process the hard stuff and cherish the good stuff. I don't have thousands of people reading this little blog, but if I can encourage just one mama in the midst of her mess than I have succeeded! I strive to write transparently about this journey we're on. Raising a child with Dyspraxia, Continue Reading
When God Shifts Your Dreams {God Sized Dreams}
I have a confession to make. It was really hard to write this month's post for the God Sized Dreams blog. I had months to write it; but life has been busy and writing hasn't been a priority. As I reflect on the past five years, I realize I Continue Reading
Ten Things I Learned In January {2017}
Jackson and Jellybean LOVE the Snow We got a decent amount of snow earlier this month and I couldn't keep Jackson or the Doodle out of it! They played and had so much fun! Watching them bursting with joy as they dashed through the white stuff was worth the hassle of getting bundled up multiple times in one day for a few minutes of snow play. I lost count of how many times I put Jackson's pants in the dryer that day! Jackson Can Write His Name I've shared before that fine motor skills Continue Reading
Five Things I’ll Do In 2017
It's taken some time - slow and meaningful - to decide what I want 2017 to look like. In previous years, my goals have included reading more books, documenting our memories with the Project Life App and other not so important things. While I still want to do all the things that make me happy, like reading books and scrapbooking, I want this year to be different. I want a slower way of living. I don't want to live frantically; marking items off my to do list. As I pondered what my priories Continue Reading
