1. It's Time to Start Writing Again I took a much needed blogging break this summer. I felt God asking me to take a step back and really evaluate my motives for writing. I've discovered He's calling me to a small, yet impactful life as a writer. I learned a lot during my writing sabbatical. It's finally time to come back to this place and share our story in hopes that it always points my readers to Christ. It probably won't look the same as it once did, but I"m eager to write again and I Continue Reading
Seven Things I Learned in September
1. The Power of A Horse Tuesday's have become our favorite day! Jackson goes to Equine Therapy and boy does he love getting on that horse. I can’t explain the joy I feel watching him ride. I’ve cried during both sessions because I’m so overcome with gratitude. God has provided just the right therapists and so many amazing opportunities for Jackson. I’ve never seen Jackson’s words flow so freely as they do when he’s on that horse. And that sure makes my heart happy! 2. How Much I Have Continue Reading
Eight Things I Learned In August
1. The Beach Is My Happy Place The majority of my childhood summer vacations were spent in Colorado. The mountains were my dad's happy place. I vividly remember how bummed he'd get when the week was over and we made the long drive back home; back to reality. The beach is my happy place. A few weeks ago, I experienced what my dad felt Continue Reading

Working out has never been my favorite thing; but I've committed this change to the Lord and I'm seeing progress. I haven't completely given up my Dr Pepper; but I've cut back tremendously. I'm learning that I really can do the things I think I can't, through His strength working in me. To read more about Continue Reading

1. Spend the $8 on the Lightening McQueen Pool Because it will provide hours of entertainment to your Little Man and bring back memories from your own childhood. You'll fumble with the plastic walls in order to fill it up, but it's worth the hassle. After a few weeks and many hours of splashing, you'll discover a few cracks in the plastic and toss it in the trash. But memories were made and fun was had. It was the best $8 you could have spent! 2. Jackson's a Fish Jackson would do Continue Reading
