Jackson and Jellybean LOVE the Snow We got a decent amount of snow earlier this month and I couldn't keep Jackson or the Doodle out of it! They played and had so much fun! Watching them bursting with joy as they dashed through the white stuff was worth the hassle of getting bundled up multiple times in one day for a few minutes of snow play. I lost count of how many times I put Jackson's pants in the dryer that day! Jackson Can Write His Name I've shared before that fine motor skills Continue Reading
Six Things I Learned in December
Honesty Brings Healing I was feeling all sorts of blue last week. I decided to write because writing always helps chase the blues away. I wrote this post and almost didn't hit publish. Honestly, it was sort of depressing to read. But I'm super glad I was brave enough to post that list of Christmas confessions. I received a lot of positive feedback from people who took the time to read it! The holidays are hard. They aren't always jolly. Sharing those confessions opened up lines of communication Continue Reading

Seven Things I Learned in October
Jackson's a Fan of Halloween He loves everything from candy corn (he did not get that from me) to the Reese's Peanut Butter pumpkins (I do take credit for that). He had a blast painting pumpkins and visiting multiple pumpkin patches. He's watched The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and Toy Story of Terror a thousand times over the past two weeks. And he makes the cutest puppy doctor ever! I have never understood why people put up Halloween lights, but Jackson loves them. We were driving around Continue Reading
Seven Things I Learned in September
What a 5.6 Magnitude Earthquake Feels Like Earlier this month we woke up to some major shaking on a Saturday morning. We often feel earthquakes in Oklahoma, but this was by far the strongest and longest one we've experienced. It also happens to be the largest one ever recorded in Oklahoma, measuring 5.8 on the Richter Scale and Jackson slept through the whole thing. 2. We Were the Top Fundraising Team at the OKC Apraxia Walk This year we raised $1045! The money will be used to fund Continue Reading
