One year ago today I signed a simple slip of paper and handed it to my son's elementary school principal. That slip of paper was all that was required of me to pull Jackson out of public school and homeschool him. It was the scariest and most freeing decision I've ever made. As I reflect on the last year, I can honestly say it's been pretty good. My kid is happy and thriving. He is learning at his own pace and in his own unique ways. His anxiety is under control. The meltdowns are gone. We Continue Reading
Nine Things I Learned in February {2019}
February flew by; but good golly there were way too many gloomy, cold days. I am so ready for warm weather and sunshine! I'm not sure I've ever been this ready for Spring. I have a hard time finding my groove at the first of the year. Most people love a fresh start, but to be honest, January 1st just stresses me out. I feel like I have to do all. the. things. Recently we bought some frozen meals from a place in my hometown. It's a great place, with great food, but I could only eat the meatloaf. The two casseroles were disgusting! The texture about did me in. I was reminded once again why I don't do freezer meals. YUCK!!!! It's Okay If We Have to Leave the Party We attempted to Continue Reading
