It's taken some time - slow and meaningful - to decide what I want 2017 to look like. In previous years, my goals have included reading more books, documenting our memories with the Project Life App and other not so important things. While I still want to do all the things that make me happy, like reading books and scrapbooking, I want this year to be different. I want a slower way of living. I don't want to live frantically; marking items off my to do list. As I pondered what my priories Continue Reading
Carrying My ‘One Words’ Into A New Year
For the past two years I’ve chosen One Word and focused on it for 365 days. In 2014 it was Gratitude. In 2015 it was Intentional. God taught me a lot through these words. This year, however, one particular word hasn't come to mind, so I’m giving myself grace. I figure God will teach me a lot in 2016 with or without One Word. I will, however, carry my words from the past two years into the New Year. Being intentional with my quiet time in 2015, brought my relationship with God to a new Continue Reading
Living Intentionally {An Update}
In January I finally said yes to the word God kept pressing upon my heart. He wanted me to focus on being Intentional in 2015, and nothing about that sounded like fun. I've made quiet time a priority and I've learned that Continue Reading
An Intentional Summer
I didn't get around to writing this blog post last week like I initially planned. My excuse? I was too busy watching Jackson splash in his $8 Lightening McQueen swimming pool. I'm pretty sure it's the best $8 I've ever spent. Every time I thought about opening my computer, I felt Him whisper, Writing can wait! There's a long list of blog ideas written in my journal, but lately one thought keeps going through my mind. I want to have an intentional summer, making memories with this Continue Reading
Our Summer Bucket List
Last summer we marked quite a few items off our long bucket list; but I found myself fretting over the items we didn't get to. So this year I'm keeping things simple. I've made a list of fun activities we can do during the hot summer days, but they are a little more realistic than some of the items I included last year. I want the summer to be simple yet intentional. Jackson will go to preschool three days a week this fall. I'll register him for PreK in February. I want our summer to be about Continue Reading
