Today's my 33rd Birthday! You guys, I love my birthday just as much today as I did when I was three. And in no way do I feel 33! Each year just gets better. I count down the days starting February 1st and it drives my hubby bonkers. For the past three years, I've hosted a Favorite Things Party for my birthday. Because birthdays are meant to be celebrated! My girlfriends and I go to dinner. We swap cute gift bags filled with our favorite things. I wish I could invite each of you to the party. One Word Reflections {2014}
I've spent the past 365 days focused on a single word: gratitude. I've listed gifts one by one. I've written down 1,100 reasons I have to be grateful. There were days I wrote down one or two gifts, days I listed ten, and days when I didn't write down a single one. Those Things I Said I’d Do in 2014….

When the Flu Threatened to Ruin Christmas….
On Wednesday I woke up coughing again. Just two weeks earlier I had gone to the doctor and had been given antibiotics and a steroid. It never fails that I get a nice case of bronchitis around Jackson's birthday and Christmas. Wednesday I thought it was back so I drug myself to Urgent Care to try and get it under control before Christmas Eve. Imagine my surprise when they wanted to swab me for the flu and the results were positive. I walked my achey, weary body to my car, called my mom, and Continue Reading
The Wonder of Christmas
We decorated early this year. I'm usually completely against Christmas decor until after Thanksgiving, but we wanted to fully enjoy Christmas after our weeklong trip to New England. Jackson was so excited to put his tree up. I watched as his little hands carefully hung each ornament. They all ended up in one big clump at the bottom of the tree. I spread them out when he wasn't looking. The bad thing about having a boy- all the ornaments are trucks, tractors, and planes. He thought he had Continue Reading
