Ann Voskamp recently wrote this post and I loved it for so many reasons, but especially because of these eight words. She writes, Purposing to change happens where prayer meets perseverance. I recently wrote about the areas I'd like to see change in this year. You can read about them here. Through prayer and perseverance I hope my a life becomes a greater reflection of Jesus. My Top Three Worries {As a Special Needs Mom}
Will School Always Be Hard It's January, and we're already thinking about kindergarten. We met with Jackson's teacher a few weeks ago and she said Jackson is academically ready to advance to the next grade. Although I was thrilled to hear how well he was doing academically, I had to be realistic. To stick him in a classroom with 20 to 25 students is just not what's best for him. He struggles in a class of fifteen. So we find ourselves at a crossroads again. We're exploring all our options - Continue Reading
Five Minute Friday {Middle}
I witnessed a miracle this morning, snack dab in the middle of my kitchen. Markers littered the table and a I watched my little boy write his name for the very first time. It's another barely touched meal tossed in the garbage. It's a temper tantrum he should be able to snap Continue Reading
Five Things I’ll Do In 2017
It's taken some time - slow and meaningful - to decide what I want 2017 to look like. In previous years, my goals have included reading more books, documenting our memories with the Project Life App and other not so important things. While I still want to do all the things that make me happy, like reading books and scrapbooking, I want this year to be different. I want a slower way of living. I don't want to live frantically; marking items off my to do list. As I pondered what my priories Continue Reading
