This was a good reading month, but what made it even better was seeing my bestie and talking about books at the beach!!!! Emily and I are book nerds and we're proud of it! We spent a week together in Florida, comparing our book journals and filling them out. I took her to the independent bookstore in Seaside and we hit up a Barnes and Noble. I didn't know how much I needed the sunshine, friend time and book talk! I left Florida filled up (but I'm ready to go back anytime!) Here's what I Continue Reading
Jennifer Reads {February 2023}
I've been waiting a long time for February 2023; anticipating the release of Beth Moore's memoir. I pre-ordered the book months ago and immediately started listening when it popped up in my Audible app on February 21st. I'm usually not a fan of audio books, but I couldn't pass up the audio version of her memoir because she reads it and I love her Texas twang! I finished the book in less than 24 hours. Ya'll, I love Beth Moore. She's been instrumental in my walk with Jesus for many years. Continue Reading
January Reflections {2023}
I used to write a monthly blog about the things I learned each month. I decided to do something similar this year and call it Monthly Reflections. Just a chance to reflect on the month and all that it taught me. In January I learned that... We seem to stay up super later and sleep in most Continue Reading
Jennifer Reads {January 2023}
I've kicked off a new year of reading and I'm feeling good about my book choices. I finished six books this month and quit three. Yep, I'm not wasting time on books I don't love. If they don't have me hooked pretty quickly, I'm dropping them. I would rather read fewer, great books than more mediocre ones. Here's what I've been reading lately... The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand I normally read the newest Elin book as soon as it's released, but after learning there was a Continue Reading
A Few Reading Goals for 2023…
This year I've decided to set a lower number for my reading goal, because I want to enjoy the books I'm reading instead of rushing through them just to check them off a list. I plan to read 50 books in 2023. If I read more, great; if not, no biggie. As I was filling out my new book planner - yes, I have the most awesome book planner this year - I wrote out a few more goals for myself when it comes to reading and books. Read the Books in My TBR Pile Before Buying More Okay, I have Continue Reading
