I probably shouldn't jump on this bandwagon. I expect this post to cause some controversy. But here's the thing.... I'm watching the moment-by-moment coverage as authorities try to locate the second suspect in the Boston Marathon Bombing. The entire town is on lock down. One suspect is dead. My mom is completely freaked that I'm supposed to board a plane and go to Boston in a few short weeks. I sit on my couch watching the news in Oklahoma City. Today's a monumental day here - it marks Continue Reading
Five Minute Friday {Here}
I sit here and the words won't come. They are stuck some where in the vast space between my mind and the computer screen. Four chapters haunt me. They mock me. That's all I have left to write, but the last chapters are proving to be the most difficult to adequately express. They mock me. Doubt creeps in. The devil wants to do all he can to keep me from this God-Sized Dream. So here I am, making a big decision. To step away from the blog to focus on these last four chapters. Five Minute Friday {Broken}
Those who hated Him thought Jesus was finally broken. He was beaten, a crown of thorns placed upon his head, He was hung on a cross, and nails pierced his hands and feet. Five Minute Friday {Remember}
There's so many things I want to remember. The way you crinkle your nose and show all your teeth. Your thick, long, eyelashes when you sleep. The way you purse your lips together like you're going to whistle, but all that comes out is air. I want to remember what it feels like to have your tiny, chubby, hand pat my back when I get you out of your crib. The way your little fingers touch your toys as you contemplate exactly what it is they do. I want to memorize the sound of your belly laugh and Continue Reading
Five Minute Friday {Rest}
Don't let this cute face fool you! This boy has a temper! Especially when he doesn't want to sleep! It's been a month since Jackson's been without a paci cold turkey. He was only using it at night and my mom broke him of the habit when she kept him after my surgery. Since saying so long paci, it's been a struggle to get him to sleep at night. He does fine during his naps, but night time is different. We have rough nights and then we go a week or more with him sleeping all night Continue Reading
