I love Christmas music! John begs me to wait until after Thanksgiving to start playing it, but I don't always oblige. This year ( when John wasn't around) Christmas music was filling my house (and car) by mid-November. Christmas music makes me happy! There are memories attached to those songs. I remember sitting on my parent's bed as a little girl, holding the brown rotary phone up to my ear, and singing Away in a Manger with my Meme before bedtime. Our Christmas List
I remember Christmas being such a magical time when I was a child; and I'm reliving that magic now that Jackson is old enough to experience it himself. There is nothing quite like seeing Christmas through his eyes. Most mornings I wake up to find him standing in front of our tree saying wow! I can't get enough of hearing him say Ho Ho Ho! And he has perfected his wish list to Santa: train, truck, toys and race car. This year we've cut way back on the material things to better enjoy Continue Reading
Our Favorite Christmas Books

One moment after another leading up to the miracle. There was a moment yesterday on our front porch. God gave me a glimpse of the miracle He Continue Reading
Preparing My Heart {For Christmas}
Christmas music has been playing in my house since mid-November and the majority of my shopping has been finished since then too. We hauled the decorations out of the attic and decked our halls before we headed out of town for Thanksgiving. It's not that I wanted to rush past Thanksgiving. I just wanted to come home, sit by the glow of the tree lights and soak up the meaning of this season. What I want this year - like every year - is for my heart to be right this Christmas. And Continue Reading
