This month I met my 2023 Reading Goal by finishing 75 books! I'll keep reading until the end of the year to see how many more books I can add to my yearly total. This month I started reading holiday books. I usually love holiday books, but this year I'm just struggling to read them. Maybe because they are all so similar? Kind of like Hallmark movies? I have a few more Christmas reads on my Kindle. We'll see if I finish them in December. I might need to move on to something Continue Reading
Jennifer Reads {December 2022}
I'm sharing my December reads early because I've decided to take a little reading break from now until the new year. That doesn't mean I won't read, but I'm not going to stress out about finishing a certain number of books before December 31st. Here's the deal - I love to read. I love books - but this year I found myself rushing through a good story just to mark another book off my list. Reading became a chore instead of an escape from the stress of everyday life. A Few Things To Get You in the Christmas Spirit
I'm currently listening to one of my favorite Christmas albums - The Garth Brooks album from 1992 - talk about a throwback. I have a Christmas candle burning, I'm wearing Christmas pajamas and the weather outside feels festive. In Michigan that's code for cold. My family started the month with Covid. Somehow we escaped the nasty virus for almost three years, but then it caught up to us. Let's just say Covid stinks! I am 100% blaming Covid if I don't meet my 2022 reading goal. I was so tired I couldn't hold a book, much less focus on the words on the page. Being sick cost me some good reading days. Now that we're better, I'm reading all the holiday romcoms! Here's what I read in November... Next of Kin by Kia Abdullah Leila receives a Continue Reading

I normally don’t plan out what I'm going to read each month. But I have so many books and it’s about to be my most favorite time of the year (Hello Fall!), that I felt like I needed a game plan. I don’t want to miss any of the books I’ve been looking forward to reading between now and December. Here's a rough outline of what I plan to read between now and the end of the year. I'll definitely be adding a few more to the list if I want to reach my 2022 reading goal. Many of these are repeat Continue Reading
