August was a weird reading month. I went almost two weeks without picking up a book. I didn't finish a single book on a our road trip to Michigan (and I had 26 hours I could have read). I think I just had a lot on my mind this month, which made it difficult to concentrate on reading. I also binge watched Chesapeake Shores, so there's that. I guess I just needed some mindless tv watching in my life. I did update my 2021 reading list and organize all the beautiful books on my Continue Reading

This month I enjoyed floating in the pool and reading good books on my Kindle Paperwhite. Do you have one? They are AMAZING!!!! I read a wide variety of books - thrillers, murder mysteries, beach reads, a homeschooling book and a children's book I really enjoyed. There's just nothing like a good book in the summer. Thankfully, summer isn't over yet and I still have stacks and stacks of books waiting to be devoured. It's a good problem to have. My most favorite book this month was Float Continue Reading

Is there anything better than good books and summertime? I kicked off my summer reading with some great beach reads this month - too bad I wasn't actually on the beach! Jackson and I also finished reading two books together and I included those, too! Here's what I read this month... Under the Southern Sky by Kristy Woodson Harvey This was my first official read of summer and it was perfect! I finished in two days! When journalist Amelia Saxton discovers that frozen Continue Reading

This month I read four books; two of which I. Could. Not. Put. Down!! I'm pretty sure The People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry will make my top three reads of 2021. I was a little hesitant about reading it because I didn't exactly love her first book; but after a few friends recommended it I decided to go for it. I absolutely loved this book - so much better (and different) than her first book. I adored Poppy and Alex and their quirky personalities. These two are complete opposites, Continue Reading

I read six books this month - some fun and easy chick lit and a few thriller/who did it type books. It was a great mixture of genres. I honestly enjoyed every book I read. The Downstairs Neighbor by Helen Cooper The book is about a teenage girl who disappears from an apartment building. Three families live in the house and they each have secrets that could be connected to Freya's disappearance. I enjoyed this mystery with all its twists and turns. This is the author's debut novel and Continue Reading
