I've loved books for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I could easily finish three or four on a family vacation. My parents didn't always understand how I could sit in a camp chair, in the middle of the mountains, with my nose in a book. The Boxcar Children, Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High...so many books, so many good memories. As much as I loved books and reading as a young girl, my love for those things has grown exponentially in the last few years. (The 75 books in the TBR pile Continue Reading

This has been a weird reading month. Between lack-luster books and a busy schedule, my reading game wasn't very strong. Hopefully August will be better. I have a great stack of books to dive into. About 75 to be exact. Yep, 75 books in my TBR pile. So before I get into the books I read this month, I have to share this picture. My summer reading is off to a great start. This is the colorful stack I hope to finish by the end of August (plus a few books on my Kindle). I also can't forget the new Elin Hilderbrand novel. We've settled into our new home in Michigan and one of the things I'm most excited about is the independent bookstore in my new town. Of course I took a break from unpacking the first week we were here to check it out. I ordered a few books on my TBR list and I bought myself this cute tote bag. This month I officially quit not one, but two books! The first books I've quit all year. People on social media rave about The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, but I just couldn't finish it. I Continue Reading
Jennifer Reads {April 2022}
Somehow between all the shuffling around this month - living in Missouri for a week, staying at a friend's lake cottage for eleven days and finally closing on our new home in Michigan - I still managed to read quite a few books. Actually, books probably saved my sanity during this crazy transition period. Last year I chose Trish Doller's book Float Plan as one of my top reads for 2021. This month I read her new book The Suite Spot and I loved, loved, loved it! I could totally see this book Continue Reading
