It's been awhile since I've shared what I've been reading. My reading game was strong when I kicked off 2016, but it's dwindled over the past few months. I find myself in a hard season without much down time to turn the pages of a good book. But I'm trying to change that; because a good book can do wonders for the soul. Here's a few of the books that have sat on my bedside table the past few months: 1. The Friend's We Keep By Susan Mallery This was my first time to read a book by this Continue Reading
What I Read In January
1. Love Walked In By Marisa De Los Santos On several occasions, I've passed by this book and picked it up, only to leave it sitting on the shelf of the local bookstore. I just wasn't that intrigued until I saw it on several must read lists as 2015 was coming to an end. I found a copy at a used book store and immediately started reading. Honestly, I wasn't hooked at page 1. It took several chapters before I became invested in the story. Actually, I wasn't fully invested until Cornelia and Continue Reading
What I Read In December
I've been in a bit of a reading funk this month. I'll blame it on the busy holiday season. Have you read her books? Continue Reading
Hope Unfolding In This Mama’s Heart
I yelled at Jackson on his birthday. We were trying to get out the door to make it to his speech appointment and all he wanted to do was jack around. As I buckled Jackson into this carseat, I grabbed his little face, looked into his eyes and apologized. He smiled, squeezed my cheeks, and Continue Reading
Our Favorite Christmas Books
One of my favorite Christmas traditions is the overflowing basket of books that's next to our Christmas tree. We began giving Jackson Christmas books on Christmas Eve his very first Christmas. I can still remember the first Christmas book we read to him (at just a few days old). I'm so glad I snapped this picture to capture this sweet memory. We spend the days leading up to Christmas reading a book (or two or three) before bed each night. Jackson's current favorite: Little Blue Truck's Continue Reading
