Today I'm excited to have my friend and fellow adoptive mama Kristin Hill Taylor guest post in honor of Adoption Awareness Month! In September, Kristin self-published her family’s story in a book called, Peace in the Process: How Adoption Built My Faith & My Family. It’s an updated, expanded version of the ebook she self-published in 2014. It’s a memoir about how God made her a mom and a story of God’s faithfulness. In the new version of the book, Kristin had other adoptive mamas Continue Reading
Permission to Stay and Rest and Be {Fierce Hearted Book Review}
These days I'm finding joy in a fizzy Dr Pepper poured over extra ice. My Bible open and a pumpkin spice candle flickering on my happy turquoise table. I'm finding joy in throwing a load of laundry in and putting something in the CrockPot for dinner. I'm finding joy in the freedom of this season. To breathe. To linger. What I’ve Been Reading {July – September}
I'm giving myself permission to sit and read a book while Jackson is at school and not feel guilty about it! I didn't read near as much as I would have liked this summer. Today I'm linking up for Friday Favorites and there's a few Fall finds on my list, since it is my most favorite time of the year! The Champions Club Next Saturday is the Apraxia Walk Continue Reading
Two Takeaways from “Daring to Hope” {A Book Review}
I was honored to get to read an advanced copy of Katie Davis Majors new book Daring to Hope: Finding God's Goodness in the Broken and the Beautiful. Her first book, Kisses from Katie encouraged and challenged me during our adoption journey. I just happened to see a sign up for her book launch team and was thrilled when I got the email saying I had made the cut! There's one particular verse in the Bible that has become a favorite of mine. Psalm 71:14 says, As for me I will always have hope, I Continue Reading
