I wrote these words almost two years ago, and they came to mind as I sat in church yesterday. Going to church doesn't come easy for me. I love Jesus. I'm a Christian. I want desperately to belong. But I've believed the lie that I don't. Take my own insecurities and past hurts and add in the challenges that come with having a child with special needs, and getting to church can be difficult to say the least. Because some Sundays there are meltdowns from the parking lot to his Continue Reading
For This Very Purpose
It's not a coincidence that Jackson is my son and I'm his mama; but sometimes I forget that. Like when he's in meltdown mode in front of the school, I'm fighting back tears and feeling like a Big. There's Nothing Like Seeing Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child It's been magical this year, simply because Jackson has been in complete wonder of it all - the lights, the tree, the gifts, Baby Jesus. He has perfected saying Santa, Ho! Ho! Ho!, reindeer and candy cane. He told us exactly what he wanted Santa to bring, which was the best Christmas gift ever! And Santa did not disappoint. He made sure to bring a train and race car. More than once I found the Wise Men and Mary and Joseph Continue Reading

We were also the top fundraising team and raised $1500 for research and speech therapy grants. Here are the posts that got the most attention this year... 1. Love Without Words (Apraxia Awareness Continue Reading
