Today is the first day of a new journey - or maybe I'll refer to it as a quest - since we're desperately searching for the best way to educate our son. Today I become Jackson's teacher. Today we embark on a full-time homeschooling quest. A thousand moments, many tears and pleading prayers led to this decision. Beth Moore says, You can't have a quest without questions. Quests have hardships and lifelong obedience. A quest has risks. Yes. Yes. Yes. The Call to Homeschool Last Continue Reading
What I’ve Been Reading {February 2018}
I got a little book buying happy this month! I had a huge stack sitting on my bedside table and a couple waiting for me on my Kindle. I finished four of them and I call that success. After all, I'm savoring books this year - no rushing through them just to mark another one off my list. Here's what I read this month... Girl, Wash Your Face By Rachel Hollis Several friends on Facebook recommended this book and their recommendations are usually good! This one included. I could relate Continue Reading
I’ll Be Bold, Courageous & Honest (Even When It’s Hard!)
Last week was a week of very high highs and some pretty sucky lows! It helps me process the hard stuff and cherish the good stuff. I don't have thousands of people reading this little blog, but if I can encourage just one mama in the midst of her mess than I have succeeded! I strive to write transparently about this journey we're on. Raising a child with Dyspraxia, Continue Reading
On Your Sixth Birthday {Your Story Matters}
Every year around Jackson's birthday, I write a blog post commemorating the event. I also write him a letter and stick it in a special birthday book. I will give him the book on his 18th birthday. Birthdays have always been a big deal to me. They're meant to be celebrated. This year it took me a little longer to decide what I wanted to share with you on your sixth birthday. Of course there are memories from the past year that I could reminisce about. I could write about all the things I love Continue Reading
