How can I possibly savor the hard moments? This is the question I was asking myself as I stared at the ceiling at 2:30 this morning. I was completely irritated and Jackson was wide awake. This scenario is common at our house thanks to ADHD. Falling asleep is hard and he often wakes up in the middle of the night fully awake and ready to start his day. I am not a middle of the night person. I need my sleep. The newborn phase almost killed me! I drug myself out of bed at 6:30 Continue Reading
How We: Do Goals and Resolutions {Link Up}
Today I'm linking up with Mix and Match Mama for a new thing she's doing in 2018 called How We. This month the topic is all about making goals and resolutions for the new year. I finally settled on my One Word for 2018 and you can read about it here). I definitely want to focus on the word Savor this year, but there are also a few other goals I found myself writing in my journal. My One Word For The New Year {2018}
Last week I told my counselor I wasn't choosing One Word for 2018. I wanted to, but I couldn't narrow it down. I couldn't find the perfect word to fit how I was feeling. Last Wednesday I opened my Bible for my morning quiet time and there it was - the word I knew I had been looking for. I love how Continue Reading
Five Minute Friday {Motivate}
I grew up wanting to be a teacher, but when the time came for me to teach Jackson I was intimidated. Having a child with special needs means he will likely learn differently than I did. Since Jackson only goes to Kindergarten half-day, it's my job to make sure he stays on track academically. We do school at home - lots of sight word practice, handwriting and a little math, too. I finally began to find my groove at the end of last year. As we roll into 2018 I feel extremely Continue Reading

Hello 2018! It's hard to believe we've said goodbye to 2017! I'm still sorting through my thoughts and goals for the new year. There are several areas where I want to see growth, but more than anything I want to press in to Jesus and continue what I started in 2017. I intend to write about my plans for the new year once I get them all sorted out. Until then, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite things from 2017! 1. Rodan + Fields I started using Rodan + Fields Continue Reading
