I made a promise to myself at the beginning of the year. I would read because I love to read! I would not make reading one more thing to mark off my to-do list! Reading should be for pleasure. I did not want to turn one of my favorite hobbies into something stressful. I also promised myself that if I wasn't loving a book, I could stop reading it. No questions asked! I sort of kept the promises I made to myself. Life got super crazy this year between homeschooling and special needs parenting, Continue Reading
Friday Favorites {October 2018 Edition}
It's easy to come up with a list of favorite things when it's my most favorite time of the year - FALL!!!! Yesterday we left speech therapy and drove down a street lined with trees that looked like they were on fire. The leaves were red and glorious and I could have stared at them all day. This trip was much needed after a hard summer. It was the perfect week. We made memories, we relaxed and we recharged. Jackson told me he Continue Reading

It's a good reminder that small steps and slow progress really do count. A few minutes of math here, a few minutes of reading there. Oral spelling tests in the car. Listening to audio books during our commute to speech therapy twice a week. It's all adding up to an education. A week ago, as I Continue Reading
