February was all about four star reads! If you’re looking for a good thriller or cute rom-com, may I suggest one of the following…
The Wedding Dashers by Heather McBreen
Ada and Jack find themselves stranded trying to get to the same wedding. The strangers decide to travel together to Ireland and find their attraction for one another only grows despite flat tires, missed trains and wedding drama. It took me a bit to get into this book, but I finally did and loved Jack and Ada’s relationship. It’s a super cute debut rom-com.

A Killing Cold by Kate Alice Marshall
Theo had a traumatic childhood. She doesn’t remember much from the first four years of her life – before she went to live with her adoptive parents. She has flickers of memories in the form of nightmares, but things begin to become clearer when she spends two weeks at Idlewood with her fiance Conner and his family. It seems like she’s been here before. A twisty thriller with a lot of secrets. Isolated on a mountain with a family that’s not accepting of her, Theo comes face-to-face with her past and the present danger she’s in.
MY RATING: 4/5 STARS
The Fall Risk by Abby Jimenez
Two neighbors are stranded in their upper apartments on Valentines Day. Charlotte is armed with bear spray and trusts nobody. Seth is getting over a divorce. Neither is looking for love, but they are stuck. They decide to make a bad situation a little better by turning the walkway between their apartments into an outside oasis. They soon find that each others company isn’t so bad. A cute, quick short story. A little far-fetched (falling in love over a weekend) but a cute read for February.

Famous Last Words by Gillian McAllister
It’s an ordinary day for Camilla until she spots her husband on the news – holding people hostage. The seige goes from bad to worse when two of the hostages are killed and Luke disappears. Seven years later, Cam is still trying to wrap her mind around what happened, not sure if her husband is alive. She wonders if he’s dead, but suddenly new clues and secrets emerge about that day seven years ago. This was a little slow going for me. It didn’t pick up the pace until about half-way through the book, but then I was hooked. With only a few chapters remaining there was a fabulous plot twist that made the dull beginning worth it.
