I’m totally stealing my friend Kenna’s idea. She titled her blog post, Five Things I’ll Need to Survive the Summer.
Ya’ll…I am going to thrive this summer, because I SURVIVED my first Michigan winter (barely!).
Here are five things I will be using daily as I soak up another fabulous Michigan summer. (I think they make the winters worth it. Maybe???) I cannot wait for daylight until 10:30 p.m., reading on my front porch and outdoor adventures.
Books
Duh!!!! I have a rather large TBR stack for the summer. Pictured are the books I pulled off my bookshelf. This does not include the preorders that will show up at my door in June, July and August. I plan to soak up some sunshine and read, read, read!
My Stanley Cup
I’m trying really hard to drink less Dr Pepper and more water. I’m keeping my Stanley filled up 24/7 to drink throughout the day! It helps when you get to drink water from a fun cup given to you by your bestie!
Wellness Journal
Turning 41 has brought some not-so-fun changes. Umm, perimenopausal, anyone? I needed a fun way to stay motivated and prioritize my physical and mental health. It was hard this winter! I’m enjoying filling out this journal each morning and then again each evening before bed. It motivates me and helps hold me accountable.
Tinted Moisturizer with Sunscreen
I don’t wear a lot of makeup, especially in the summer, so these are my go-to! I like both of these tinted moisturizers, but the BareMinerals has a bit more coverage. I just put them on after my skin-care routine each morning. Simple!
These Shorts
I have a feeling I’ll be living in these shorts this summer! They’re an Amazon find and they are so comfortable. I ordered a few different colors. Whether going to the pool, working out or running to the store, these will be my go-to!
