With two hours and 45 minutes to spare, I met my 2022 reading goal! 75 books complete!
The last week of December I finished Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
I didn’t think I would enjoy a book where one of the main characters is an octopus. It’s not a book I would typically choose, but it was such a popular pick in this year. This is a beautiful story about unexpected friendships and healing. I loved Marcellus (the Octopus)! I am so glad I gave this book a chance!
I actually finished a few more books in December than I thought I would, including Meet Me Under the Mistletoe by Jenny Bayliss, A Wish for Winter by Viola Shipman and When Strivings Cease by Ruth Chou Simons.
You can check out the other books I finished in December here.
This year I started my neighborhood library, finally subscribed to Kindle Unlimited and started tracking my reading progress on Goodreads (why didn’t I do this sooner?)
I had so much fun texting back and forth with my friend Emily about the books we were reading. The two of us are still trying to wrap our heads around the ending of All Good People Here. Cannot stop thinking about it!
I read several debut novels that were so. well. done.
I read new releases by some of my favorite authors.
I did not read Elin Hilderbrand’s newest book (gasp!)
I read books that made me laugh out loud.
I read more Young Adult than normal.
I did a better job of quitting books that didn’t have me hooked.
I bought way too many books and my TBR pile continued to grow.
I typically share my top three books of the year; but I had so many five star reads that I decided to share a list of those instead. I just couldn’t narrow it down.
