I am reading all the holiday books right now and I love it! I still have a huge stack to read before Christmas! I didn’t read as much as I thought I would this month because I was busy editing family photo sessions (while watching Hallmark Christmas movies!)
If you’re looking for a good holiday read in December, may I suggest one of these…
Nantucket White Christmas by Pamela Kelley
This is book 3 in the Nantucket Beach Plum Cove series. You can read my review of the first two books here. This book introduces new characters, while still following the Hodges family and their life on Nantucket. These books are easy reads – perfect for a little escape from the crazy world.
Christmas in Peachtree Bluff by Kristy Woodson Harvey
I loved the Peachtree Bluff series, which is about three sisters and their mother and a secret that threatens to destroy their relationships. I was so excited when I learned there would be a fourth book in the series and it would be about the Murphy Family at Christmas. I’m a sucker for a good holiday novel!
This book picks up three years after the last book in the series. The Murphy Family is preparing for Christmas, but first they have to dodge the hurricane headed for Peachtree Bluff.
Always, In December by Emily Stone
This book gave me warm fuzzies, made me angry and made me cry! I’ll admit the middle part of the book moved a little slow for me, but I’m glad I stuck it out.
Josie and Max meet one magical December day as she’s on her way to mail her annual letter to her parents, who died tragically many years ago on Christmas Day. Josie has always avoided holiday festivities and Max finds himself doing the same this year. The two end up spending Christmas together and Josie’s life is forever changed – until she wakes up to find Max has left without saying goodbye. Over the next year, Max and Josie’s paths cross unexpectedly, but what does the future hold for them as Christmas approaches again?
A Magical New York Christmas by Anita Hughes
Is there anything more magical that New York City at Christmas? Sabrina has been hired to be a ghostwriter on a confidential writing project. Part of the deal includes a weeks stay at the Plaza Hotel during the holidays. During her first night at the hotel, she runs into a handsome British man, who shares his lobster rolls and caviar with her. The unexpected meeting sets off a week full of romantic moments between Sabrina and Ian. There’s just one problem…neither of them really knows who the other one is.
If you love New York City. If You love Christmas. If you love a good romance. This is the book for you!
A Cross-Country Christmas by Courtney Walsh
Lauren Richmond hasn’t been home for Christmas in several years and since she’s terrified of flying, she’s stuck traveling cross-country with her brother’s best friend, Will. Will isn’t just her brother’s best friend, he was Lauren’s childhood crush. She’s spent the last ten years trying to get over him. This book is full of Christmas cheer, witty banter and holiday romance. It’s the perfect Christmas rom-com!
