For many years I have been encouraged by Beth Moore. Her Bible studies have impacted my faith in such a dynamic way. She has taught me so much about the Word of God, which has only intensified my love for Jesus.
Over the past few years Beth Moore has spoken out against sexual abuse in the church and has taken a stand against issues that many Christians want to sweep under the rug. She called out President Trump when many Christians were putting him on a pedestal. She even walked away from the denomination she was a part of her entire life.
I feel like Beth Moore would get me.
I love Jesus so much, but over the last few years I’ve voiced my opinion about certain politicians (and had people question my Christianity). I’ve lost friends. Family relationships have been a little tense at times. I’ve been called liberal.
I’ve had many desperate talks with Jesus about what’s going on in the world and how the Body of Christ is putting their faith in political parties and presidents instead of Christ.
I have wondered so, so many times how Christians – who claims to love Jesus so much – can view things so, so, differently.
I have been thankful for Beth Moore’s honesty. I am thankful that she keeps pointing me to Jesus.
Today I listened to Beth Moore’s podcast with Russell Moore. (You can listen here.)
It was so encouraging for someone like me – who doesn’t quite fit into the super conservative Christian world anymore.
A few takeaways….
- Jesus! It’s all about Jesus!
- God is in the business of making things new!
- The world seems super crazy right now, but God IS at work and good things are still happening.
If you need a little encouragement today and you love Beth Moore like I do, have a listen.
