My word for 2021 is Pursue.
This year I have pursued a deeper relationship with God, a more consistent (and bolder) prayer life, truth through His word, good physical and mental health and simplicity in our homeschool.
As I’ve pursued Jesus, I’ve experienced peace.
A peace that doesn’t get shaken by the things of this world, and let’s be honest, there’s a lot going on in the world.
Pandemic. Politics.
So. Many. Opinions.
So. Much. Noise.
As I get older (and maybe a little wiser), I know God has called me to live differently than the world.
He has not called me to live hurried, stressed or worried.
He has called me to a slow, simple and peaceful life.
For me, peace looks like…
Reading a book on the porch swing.
Taking nature walks with a friend.
Staying off social media.
Sitting in the sand to listen to the ocean waves.
Peace is a gift the world cannot give; but God can.
