It’s Friday! Here are a few of my favorite things from the week…
This Birthday Gift
My friend Emily wins the prize for best birthday gift! She knows me so well! I love pens and when she saw this t-shirt she knew I had to have it! Look at all those fun, colorful writing instruments. Finding this gift on my porch was definitely a favorite from this week!
Flare Jeans
I bought this super cute pair of jeans from one of my favorite online boutiques. I love them! Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of me wearing them on Tuesday. But they are so fun and I enjoyed wearing something other than skinny jeans. They will be perfect to pair with Spring shirts and wedge sandals.
Sunshine and Longer Days
This week has been filled with beautiful weather! Jackson and I soaked up some sunshine, fresh air and vitamin D on Wednesday. It was much needed after five sick days at home. I am so happy that the time will be changing soon. I am ready for more daylight!
Cardinals Singing
Jackson and I spotted a bright red cardinal sitting in a tree at the park on Wednesday. It was enjoying the sunshine just as much as we were. It was singing its little heart out. Jackson said it was his Happiness Song. We sat and watched it for a long time.
Einstein Bagel
On Saturday mornings we often drive up to the college campus and get breakfast at Einstein Bagel. A blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese is the perfect way to start the weekend. I think I might have to have one tomorrow.
Humphrey The Hamster Series
Jackson and I finished the first book in this series this week. It was so cute! Humphrey is full of shenanigans! It was a great book for me to read out loud to Jackson. We can’t wait to start book two of the series, although I’m wondering if we can read them out of order? There’s one called Spring According to Humphrey, which would be perfect to read right now.
These Candles
I’ve been burning two new scents from Bath and Body Works this week. I love them! They make me want to go to the beach!
Outdoor Workouts
I moved my laptop and workout equipment to the back porch for my sweat sessions this week and it was glorious!
Getting Creative
Jackson and I have been doing a lot of guided drawings. It’s a great activity to help with his fine motor skills and visual spatial awareness. After we spotted the cardinal at the park, we decided to draw one and paint it. I absolutely love drawing and painting with watercolors. It is so relaxing. I see much more of this in our future.
