This has felt like the longest week ever!!! Between record cold temperatures, lots of snow and canceled appointments, I have a tad bit of cabin fever!
However, I’m very thankful that we’ve had electricity during these bitterly cold days. I am also very thankful for my fireplace.
Here’s a few of my favorites from our snow week!
Snow Photos
I grabbed my big camera and took a few photos of Jackson playing outside. On this particular day it got up to 20 degrees and the sun made an appearance. We were actually sweating in our layers.
I also offered a few snow minis for people in my neighborhood. I had a blast bundling up and getting outside with my camera.
Cute Winter Accessories
I’ve worn so many of my cute hats and scarves this week!!!
Ice Chiseling
This activity kept Jackson entertained forever! Each night we’d put a bowl full of water and his toys outside to freeze. He had the best time using a hammer and icepick to chisel the ice away to get to his toys. Then he used my hair dryer and made a melting station.
Snowy Nature Walk
We trudged through the snow to check out the frozen lakes in our neighborhood.
This Book Series
Jackson was diagnosed with Dyslexia earlier this month. The neuropsychologist recommended these books and they have been a hit! Jackson has read them without complaint, which is a huge win! I definitely recommend these if you have a struggling reader. They are chapter books, but include talking bubbles and limited text per page.
