It’s FRIDAY!!!! This week has been filled with therapy appointments and birthday celebrations. We’re having a lazy Friday morning in our pajamas. It’s just what we need after a busy week. I’m cleaning house and we are awaiting the arrival of Pop and Lolli (my parents).
Kicking off the weekend with a few things that made my list of favorites this week…
Crockstar Dinner Club
Want to know what’s going to make my life so much easier once we start school Tuesday?
Crockstar Dinner Club!
You guys, I hate cooking. I would rather do anything than meal plan, grocery shop and get dinner on the table. But I don’t want to be grabbing fast food all the time. I really want our family to sit around the table together a few times each week. That’s where Crockstar Dinner Club is going to save the day!
The entire reason the owner started the company is to bring families back to the dinner table!
She provides Crockpot meals for a very reasonable price. The only thing you have to do is add the meat!
I placed my first order this month and our first meal – dill pickle pot roast – was a hit!
Last night we had the chicken taquitos and they were absolutely delicious. I could have just eaten the filling without putting it in flour tortillas. So good!!!
These fast, delicious meals are going to be a win-win for our family!
Don’t live in Oklahoma, she ships!

Celebrating Birthdays
I am a BIG fan of birthdays! I love celebrating my own (all month long) and I try to make John and Jackson’s as special as possible.
Yesterday we celebrated John’s 39th Birthday.
I’ll be honest, things have been a little stressful in our world this summer. I probably didn’t bring my birthday A game, but I made sure my hubby felt special on his LAST birthday in his 30’s. He was never a big fan of birthdays until he met me. I have officially spoiled him. He expects decorations, gifts, cake and a full blown celebration. He pouts if he thinks I’m not going to make a big deal about his day.
I think the best gift he received was hearing Jackson sing Happy Birthday to him. Y’all, when your kid with Apraxia sings you Happy Birthday, you die! It’s the best thing ever!
Splash Pads and Ice-cream
We’ve been hitting up the local splash pads a lot lately. They’ll stop operating after Labor Day so we’ve taken advantage of these fun spots now that kids are back in school. It’s been great having a place for Jackson to play without a thousand people around. He can do his thing and I can sit back and not stress.
We spent an hour playing in the water on Wednesday afternoon (because it was HOT!!!). We followed up our splash pad date with ice-cream from Dairy Queen. Pretty perfect afternoon if you ask me!
Senior Sessions
I’ve booked quite a few senior sessions lately and I absolutely love them!
They are much less stressful than photographing toddlers. HA!
But seriously, senior sessions are so fun! I’m really hoping I get to do more of these this year.
Here’s a few of my favorite shots from my most recent session.
