We made it to Friday of our first week of homeschool!
Two things:
- I still have complete peace about our decision
- I’m still scared to death I’m gonna screw up my son’s education.
But here’s what I know to the bottom of my toes: God will provide every thing I need for the quest ahead.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19)
He will provide the patience I need when the ADHD is at an all time high.
He will provide the patience and compassion when Apraxia makes sounding out words almost impossible.
He will provide grace upon grace upon grace for me and for Jackson.
This week God has provided encouragement and affirmation in more ways than I can count.
The moment I start to feel like maybe I’m in over my head (who am I kidding, I am!) I’ve received encouraging messages from fellow homeschool moms. I’ve received curriculum recommendations and loads of free homeschooling supplies.
Matthew 7:7-8 says: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
I will ask, seek and knock; believing God will provide with each step of faith I take.
This is scary new territory we’re walking into, but it’s exhilarating and oh so freeing!
