Today is a big day for America.
There will be a lot of pomp and pageantry as the new president is ushered in.
I’m not usually one to write about politics; they’re pretty much my least favorite thing ever.
But this morning as I was praying for our country and the new president, a thought occurred to me.
What if Christians refined their thinking?
What if we stopped thinking like a democrat?
What if we stopped thinking like a republican?
What if we started thinking like Jesus?
What if we stopped slinging hate on social media?
What if we expressed our opinions, but did so in love?
What if we took the president off the pedestal and remembered who is really on the throne?
Today is a big day for America.
The country is divided.
There is a lot of hate.
There is a lot of fear.
As Christians, we have an opportunity to make a difference.
Pray for the president.
Pray for this country.
Choose love instead of hate.
Let’s not just think like Jesus; let’s act like Him, too.

I’m your FMF neighbor. That is such a great reminder. When I start to worry, I remind myself that Jesus is King.
