1. Document Our Memories Through Words and Pictures
To do this, I will use the Project Life App and will follow the Project Life Week By Week method. I literally create my scrapbook pages on my phone and it’s the most amazing thing EVER! I’ve never scrapbooked week-by-week, but I think I’m going to love it. I normally do a page for every major event (which fills at least three scrapbooks a year). I will still dedicate more space for major events, but I’m hoping to fit 2016 in one (okay, maybe two) albums.
2. Pray Through My Dreams
I will spend this month praying through my dreams using this book. I’m a dreamer (especially when it comes to writing). I have book ideas and blog ideas that I could easily get lost in, but I want to make sure my dreams are the same ones God has for me. I know I will write; I’m just not sure exactly what it will look like. God has never whispered to me reach more people, build a bigger platform. He always says reach one person.
3. Possibly Write the Ebook That’s Been On My Heart
4. Count Gifts
I counted gifts in 2014 and it made an impact. I’ve decided to list out 1,000 gifts again in 2016. I even bought this cute gratitude journal to write them down in. Gratitude really does make a difference. When we’re grateful, we are more likely to notice His glory all around us.
5. Walk Through The Doors of Church and Believe I Belong There
6. Find The Community My Heart Has Been Longing For
7. Start A Local Support Group For Special Needs Mamas
It’s vital for mama’s with special needs kids to connect. I’m hoping to find a time and place where mamas can meet once a month. A place where we can be real with one another, encourage one another and support each other on this hard, yet joyful journey!
8. Be Jackson’s Voice
I will continue to be Jackson’s biggest advocate. I will raise awareness about Childhood Apraxia of Speech and Sensory Processing Disorder. We will participate in our local Apraxia Walk and raise funds for research and speech therapy grants. We will continuing raising our voices until he finds his!
9. Read, Read, Read!
There’s a long list of books I look forward to reading this year! My goal is to put down my phone and read more! During Jackson’s therapy appointments, while I’m waiting in the school pickup line, and before bed each night. I waste too much time scrolling through social media when I could be reading instead! Just like last year, I’ll share what I’ve read each month on the blog.
10. Make My Relationship With God Top Priority
In 2015, the Lord showed me that if I wanted to be intentional and see change in other areas of my life, I had to start by being intentional with Him. And being intentional with Him took our relationship to a a whole new level. This year I want to go deeper! I want to desire God and His word above anything else. I want prayer to be a priority.
What are you hoping to accomplish in 2016? I’d love for you to share your hopes and dreams in the comments below!

Jennifer this is amazing. I’m so proud of you and the way you’ve allowed God to use you. Thank you for sharing. Garry and I are also in the process of adopting a child. We have recently been matched with a 13 year old girl and are waiting to hear when we get to meet her. It has been so exciting. We are part of a Facebook group called Stonewater Orphan Care Ministry and I would like to share your info/blog with them. We go to Stonewater Church in Granbury and we are seeing God move in this area. I’m glad we got to meet your precious Jackson at the farm. Jackson has an extra special place in God’s heart because he chose you to be his mother. I’m happy I’ve finally realized what your purpose and heart is doing with your ministry and I hope to be able to continue to follow it. Karen
