I didn’t get around to writing this blog post last week like I initially planned. My excuse? I was too busy watching Jackson splash in his $8 Lightening McQueen swimming pool. I’m pretty sure it’s the best $8 I’ve ever spent.
Every time I thought about opening my computer, I felt Him whisper, Writing can wait!
There’s a long list of blog ideas written in my journal, but lately one thought keeps going through my mind.
I want to have an intentional summer, making memories with this Little Man of mine.
Because come August, he will go to PreK three days a week and speech therapy the other two. We will live by a pretty strict schedule. So this summer, I’m choosing to set aside the computer and soak up these carefree childhood days. Because they are going by so fast.
And after several months of writing three times a week, I’m in need of a break. I want to write when the mood strikes, not because a post is scribbled on my editorial calendar. I want to be intentional with these summer days, allowing God to fill me up, so that I can come back to this place and begin pouring out.
I want to mark items off our summer bucket list.
I want to get lost in a few good books.
I want to unplug and recharge.
I want to bury my toes in the sand.
I want to have an intentional summer.
Want to join me?
How will you live your summer with intention?

I really love this theme for your year. It’s such a great reminder! These years are flying by SO fast it’s scary.
