The Apraxia journey is best described as a roller coaster ride. There are many ups and downs; twists and turns. There is joy and pain; hope and fear; tears and laughter. There are miracles and there are moments when I’m not sure we’ll make it through another day.
But we do.
Because no matter how hard it gets; how defeated I feel; there is always something to be thankful for. Hope is always waiting; we just have to reach out and hang on!
Since Jackson’s diagnosis in January, these verses have been vital; helping me keep my eyes fixed on Jesus rather than our circumstances. These words make my heart overflow with hope.
I pray they do the same for you – whether you’re on your own Apraxia journey – or you’re facing other obstacles that seem too big to overcome.
Today, these words are for you.
You let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction. (Psalm 23:3)
Guard that good thing entrusted to you. (2 Timothy 1:14)
Jesus shows us the way, one foot at a time, down the path of peace. (Luke 1:79)
If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help…Ask boldly, believing; without a second thought. (James 1:5-7)
Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. (James 1:12)
God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)
Not a day goes by without his unfolding grace… (2 Corinthians 4:17)
Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. (Matthew 6:34)
You know everything I’m going to say before I start the first sentence. (Psalm 139:4)
You shaped me first inside and then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb…I am marvelously made! You know me inside and out…you know exactly how I was made bit by bit. The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day. (Psalm 139:13-16)
Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try and figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in all you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. (Proverbs 3:5-7)
Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on Me. (Isaiah 30:15)
As for me, I will always have hope, I will praise you more and more. (Psalm 71:14 NIV)
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. (Isaiah 26:3 NIV)
But me, I’m not giving up. I’m sticking around to see what God will do. I’m waiting for God to make things right. I’m counting on God to listen to me. (Micah 7:7)
