Dear Weary and Burdened Mama:
You have to let go of the expectations.
The unrealistic ones you have for yourself.
Those of the little boy frustrated in the timeout chair.
Holding on to the expectations will strangle you.
So what if the nursery worker stares in judgement. Ignore the hurtful comment falling from her lips.
She doesn’t know the challenges you’re facing. She only sees what she wants to – a difficult toddler.
That is her issue, not yours.
Release your hold on perfection.
You will make mistakes and so will he.
Give grace and accept it.
Hold unswervingly to the hope you profess, for he who promised is faithful. (Hebrews10:23)
Love,
Your Heavenly Father
