After the devastating views I’ve seen this week, I am thankful for views like this.
This week has been hard. God has taught me lessons and the main one is that Jackson is my first priority. Before I became a mommy, I would have volunteered, I would have picked up debris, I would have handed out a meal. At one point in my life, I grabbed a press pass and my notebook and headed into the storm to cover the story.
After an F5 destroyed my community this week, I learned my role is different.
I had to get Jackson in the storm shelter and keep him safe.
I had to turn off the news and turn Disney back on.
I had to let him see me pray for those affected by the tornado.
Like my friend Kenna reminded me, “I did what I had to do by keeping Jackson safe.”
Today I’m linking up for Five Minute Friday. You can join us here .

So glad you are safe! Having kids changes your view on a lot of things, doesn’t it?
