Last night I was racking my brain trying to think of what I would blog about this morning and nothing was coming to my mind! Then this morning I opened my email and found my first Compassion Blogger assignment! Yay!
Compassion International has a goal this month – change the lives of 3,108 children in the next 30 days through sponsorships! Will you help them meet that goal?
Sponsoring a child is one of the simplest ways you can answer God’s call to care for orphans! Will you take the time to visit the sponsorship page here and pray for these children who desperately need your help?
Pray that they receive a sponsor, pray that they come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior, pray that God will protect them and provide for all their needs. As you pray for them will you also ask God to open your eyes and reveal His heart to you for the poor?
When you see the sweet faces on the sponsorship page, how can your heart not be softened to the need all around the world?
God’s Word says,“Once our eyes are opened, we can’t pretend we don’t know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows what we know, and holds us responsible to act.” (Prov. 24:12)
When you sponsor a child, you make sure they receive life-saving necessities, such as, clean water, food, medical care, and an education. Things that we take for granted EVERY DAY! Because of sponsors, these children have hope for the future and their families don’t have to worry quite so much.
